Special Abilities

  • Parry (When hit by a melee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Quick Reflexes (+6 Defense when attacked on attacks of opportunity)
  • Whirling Attack (+10 Damage for each of this character's attacks that hit the same target this turn)
  • Independent Outfit (Also counts as a Fringe character for the purpose of commander effects)

Keep in mind this is a design based on 1 viewing of Rogue One. Chirrut was a very capable fighter, especially against groups so I went for Triple Attack and Crowd Fighting. His style involved a lot of fluid strikes so I opted for GMA and came up with Whirling Attack (not sold on name) to show his cumulative effect on opponents. Quick Reflexes aids GMA and seemed a natural fit as does Parry.

I considered Verpine Shatter Rifle to reflect is blaster but with only base damage of 10, opted for Blaster 20. I kept a few things back to encourage use with Baze. I see Baze "completing" Chirrut via Camaraderie/Synergy but I feel he works pretty well on his own. Feedback is welcome.

Quick Reflexes fits real well. Whirling Attack looks nice too, But I'm not 100% sure how it works. Is it 10, 20, 20 damage, or does it stack and do 10, 20 ,30?

Kam: It's intended to be base 10 first attack, 10 + 10 second, 10 + 20 on third attack.

10 damage is kind of weak with all the DR abilities out there. I love the flavor of whirling attack. cool idea.

Would 20 base damage be too much with Whirling? 20, 30, 40 for 90 potential (only against 1 target, 60 max against multiple enemies)?

I don't know, 90 damage is a lot for 30 points. He only has 11 attack and no ranged defence but I'm still not sure.

The price is debatable with the increased base damage. I don't want to up it too much and his output is dependent on all attacks hitting the same character. That's less versatility due to wording of Whirling than a base 30 damage character with Triple.
