survival expert ATRT and ATST's will be fun! 'single reactor ignition' seems overpowered for Krennic's cost. It's an epic-level ability and a real steal for only 28pts. an Imperial thrawn-swapping I-win button. 7/10 at the present, though this is a lot of fun and reflects Battlefront Krennic well.

Every character has time to move before the big boom. It's more of a shake up or reset ability, forcing characters to move or take big damage. The only guaranteed hit is to immobile characters, slow characters, or those activated before their turn. The cost probably is low, I agree.

The Single Reactor Ignition seems like overkill in this squad level game. It's a distraction, meaning you set it off and players spend the next turn just running from it. Not as fun as it sounds.

Run, yes. But it also changes the terrain drastically by turning doors and walls to difficult terrain. Might change the look of the game in progress.

May as well make the commander effect Allies with Death in their name if you'd like the death troopers to get Survival Expert as well. I like it.

harryg: The CE was more of an abstract way of encompassing his search for Galen's Death Star defect in the hope of solving the intentional flaw. While the troopers could certainly use the CE's benefit, it doesn't quite work thematically. But, it's not a bad idea...

Interesting CE. Single Reactor Ignition is very inventive, but I think it's just too wild to balance. On the one hand, it's crazily powerful, but on the other hand, you're spending 35 points to make your opponent scatter for one round... and then doesn't help the rest of your squad much. The CE is awesomely thematic, but most of the pieces it helps don't make a whole lot of saves. The only piece that will for sure benefit is a Death Star Gunner shooting an adjacent enemy.

Updated SRI To be more of a "Super Fire Support Mission". The CE is now more useful. Uggernaughts and AT-STs may see more play. Death Star Troopers and Death Star Gunners are more viable now. Well, that's the plan anyway.

I really really really do not like the potential 100 damage. I also do not understand how it fits with Krennic himself. In all seriousness, play with Thrawn, out activate swap in at the end of the turn, next turn auto win init replace turn and set off a catastrophic 100 damage hit to people, especially against all-fringe and mando squads who cannot reroll saves.

Ok, made SRI save easier and reworked Rival to exclude a bunch of commanders (including Thrawn). Not only does it prevent the dreaded auto init win/swap but I think it fits his personality. He felt other commanders were beneath him.
