Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Pilot
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Flight (Ignores difficult terrain, enemy characters, low objects, and pits when moving)
  • Armament (At the start of this character's turn, choose either Electric Shock +10, Smoke Screen, or Repair 20. This character gains the chosen special ability until the end of the turn.)
  • Hacker (At the end of it's turn, while adjacent to a door, this character can designate 1 door on the map, regardless of line of sight, as open or closed. It remains open or closed until the end of this character's next turn, or until it is defeated.)
  • Oil Slick (Replaces attacks: choose an adjacent square, that square is considered to have an oil slick for the rest of the skirmish. Characters that try to move into or out of a square with an oil slick are considered activated, save 6.)

R2 is an interesting choice for Armament. I presume Oil Slick lasts for the rest of skirmish?

I love this tech. Repair 20 I don't consider something you would arm somebody with though. A very simple fix is put oil slick in your armament and put repair 20 on the base build build. Hacker is fantastic and makes a hell of a lot more sense than override. I've never seen in cartoons or movies where somebody just looked at a door and it opened, other than jedi of course. Maybe thought the oil slick description in the flavor section should you change your armament. NICE WORK!!

Nice. Instead of "activated" for oil slick, maybe have "end their move". And make it a terrain feature. (so leaping and flying things don't slip)

For armament: is the playtesting for the char calculating all 3 abilities for the point cost?

I like your piece here, but I'm a little bugged by Armament - all three abilities are mutually exclusive. You can't make an attack and use Smoke Screen in the same turn, or Smoke Screen and Repair 20 in the same turn. In this case, all Armament does is save card space. I would echo the suggestion to put Hacker in Armament. (to make sure others can find the description, you can put it in curly brackets {like this} so that a link to the ability shows up.) You could also switch Flight and Repair. But, a great rendition of R2. Well done!

Only thing I'm not sure on is oil slick as it adds a whole new layer to game complexity, I may word it instead as similar to mines where characters that move adjacent to R2 are potentially activated. Or else you could have R2 making an absolute mess of the board with tokens haha
