Special Abilities

  • Unique (Counts as Ben Solo)
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Crossguard Lightsaber (When an adjacent enemy makes a successful save against this character's attacks, it takes 10 damage. This damage cannot be prevented or redirected.)
  • Dark Armor 2 (Whenever this character takes damage, make 2 saves, each needing 11; each success reduces the damage dealt by 10. Attacks with lightsabers ignore this special ability.)
  • Jedi Hunter (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against enemies with Force ratings)
  • Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Overload (Can use 2 abilities that replace attacks instead of 1 on its turn)
  • Second Wind 10 (Replaces attacks: Remove 10 damage from this character)
  • Turn to the Dark Side (Replaces attacks: range 6; 20 damage to 1 target with a Force rating. The target can choose to negate this damage and instead make a save of 11; if the save fails, the target joins this character's squad until the end of the skirmish.)

Force Powers

  • Force 2
  • Force Renewal 2 (This character gets 2 Force points each time he activates)
  • Force Choke 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6; Move target Large or smaller enemy adjacent to this character. That enemy takes 20 damage.)
  • Telekinesis (Force 2: When hit by an attack, this character takes no damage and cannot be targeted for the rest of this turn unless the attacker makes a save of 11)
  • Mind Probe (Force 1: Once per round, before initiative is determined, if this character is adjacent to an enemy, add +6 to your roll)
  • Lightsaber Assault (Force 1, replaces attacks: Make 2 attacks)
  • Master of the Force 2 (May spend Force points up to 2 times in a single turn)

Commander Effect

Once per turn, this character and allies within 6 squares may use their Telekinesis Force power at no cost. This still counts towards the number of times they may use Force powers in a turn and a character may not use this power if they have no Force points remaining to spend.

My wife gave me the idea for this epic, since he is strong enough to wipe out the Jedi, survive an explosive bolt to the chest, freeze both force users and blaster bolts I think this guy deserves to be eventually an epic. But maybe needs more development in the other films but for now this is my interpretation.

Cost needs to be 115 or higher ;) lol. Check the rules!

EPIC Kylo Ren? That is minis heresy of the highest magnitude. Get out of here!

That is a cool piece, though :P. But seriously, I'd approve Nien Nunb for an EPIC before whiny Kylo gets one.

Another interesting character choice. His damage output is quite low for an epic, maxing at 80. At least give him Sith Rage which would help in this regard and seems befitting of the character. Also, while the CE is cool, it would be more effective to grant Telekinesis to allies (with some sort of qualifying limitation).

Sith Rage would be good along with MotF2, unless MotF2 is to much with Telekinesis.

Too much? Nah, he's EPIC!

I was worried about a double lightsaber flurry and that's part of why I wanted to make sure he didn't deal to much damage since he already has jedi hunter but if the vote is for Sith rage I can update that. And haha it wasn't my first choice too but my wife challenged me and pointed out that he is the new main villain and I'm sure he'll be epic-level by the time of the 9th movie. Also stopping blaster bolts mid air and stunning people is epic

Does Overload let him use "replaces attacks" Force powers twice or abilities?

Yes, it says "abilities" (includes Force powers) and not "Special Abilities." I can't cite a rules ruling, but Yarael Poof's page shows that Captain Tarpal's CE allows the use of double Force powers, and Overload is the exact same thing as Tarpal's CE. On that note: WOW! Did not realize he could Flurry/Turn to the Dark Side or Choke/Turn. Yeah, I think Flurry is too much with MotF - that's 160 damage per turn against Jedi (without Thrawn or anything). If you swapped Flurry for Assault, that would drop it down to 120 per turn.

That's what I was concerned about and is why he has no MOTF

What about Dual Weapon Use?

Any particular reason for Flurry instead of Assault? I think with Assault, MotF would be fine - and he kinda needs MotF.

I was trying to recreate his lightsaber rage moment but maybe a double assault would be good enough?

Swapped flurry for assault due to popular appeal and he can now pull someone adjacent to himself and lightsaber assualt for some fun. I like this version better now and thanks for the help guys. And saber dual weapon use specifically says special ability so I don't think that works for his force powers
