Special Abilities

  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Force Immunity (Enemies cannot affect this character with Force powers, or spend Force points to reroll attacks against this character or to respond to this character's attacks and abilities)
  • Graft (Replaces turn: remove an adjacent allied character with Savage from play; that character is defeated. Then remove damage from another adjacent Yuuzhan Vong character equal to the Hit Points of the defeated character.)

Commander Effect

Savage characters are subject to these effects: Savage characters in your squad can end their moves next to this character instead of an enemy.

Amongst the roles of the Shaper class were those specialized in mending or "upgrading" their kinsmen.

Graft is hilarious and can potentially be a huge heal but this character has to start its turn adjacent, might be hard to pull off. Hmmm. Watto slave a Bodyguard and than use it to be grafted is the first thought that comes to mind, sucks of damage and than heals the person before it dies. haha CE is VERY INTERESTING I wish we saw that in the keepers. I like it quite a bit. I think I love that CE and think we should find it in the game, it would make Savage characters so much more viable, amazing

Thanks guys! I was trying to build a unique "healer" in true Vong fashion and took inspiritation from the many times vong were intentionally mutilated to receive new body parts or in Lah's case having an injured foot replaced by that of an animal

Interesting. CE not as freewheeling as empathy (limits them in that they need to stay close if you want to control them.) Should graft mention a limitation that points added cannot exceed what character starts with, or that "implied" or understood? Very interesting Dr. Frankenstein. FYI, cost is about right too.

Graft needs some work though guys. You shouldn't be able to take a gundark in and let him fight until he's down to 10HP left, then use Graft to give 90 HP back to TL,WE. maybe equal to the remaining HP or half the HP. Or a Firebreather completely restoring another firebreather. I know savage are hard to use and control but check the angles of vong, I'm sure there are other levels of ways to use or abuse this. I like the idea, but I think it needs a little touch up IMO.

Thanks Surf and I made it so that the character being healed "removes damage" but I could change it to equals the remaining HP on the card

Apparently my original comment didn't save so I'll make another attempt. I really dig the creative and thematic approach to damage removal for the YV. I might consider, going even more thematic, granting the healed character on of the Savage character's abilities to represent gaining an aspect of the creature grafted. That might get tricky in all the potential interactions but at 20 points the cost of this piece may just cover it.

As for GG's concern, limit Graft to uninjured allies with Savage. After all, the YV were more likely to use healthy donors.
