Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • CorSec
  • Aggressive Negotiations (This character is considered to have Diplomat until it makes an attack or is targeted by an enemy character. Characters with Ambush, Backlash, or It's a Trap! can ignore this ability for the purpose of attacking this character.)
  • Dominate (Replaces turn: Target living character takes an immediate turn under your control, which does not count as one of your 2 activations this phase, even if it has already been activated this round; save 11. The target character cannot move this turn.)
  • Bodyguard Rapport (Characters whose name contain Bodyguard, or have the Bodyguard special ability cost 2 less while in a squad with this character.)
  • Advantageous Cover (+8 Defense from cover instead of +4)
  • Rival (This character cant be in the same squad as those with Hutt Cartel, Zann Consortium, or Black Sun abilities or in their names.)
  • Fringe Reserves 30 (If you roll exactly 11 for initiative, you can add up to 30 points of Fringe characters to your squad immediately before your first activation of the round)
  • High Value Target (Adjacent allied characters gain Bodyguard.)
  • Bribery (During setup, after seeing your opponent’s squad, you may add up to 10 points of Fringe characters to your squad. After setup, you may choose to select up to 10 points of your opponent's characters brought in through reinforcements instead of your original selection. These characters join your squad for the rest of the skirmish, and set up in your starting area.)

Commander Effect

Cor Sec followers in this squad gain: Ambush and Double Attack

This reads like the definition of "Broken." Worked right, you could give 3 characters Con Artist. That's just too much. Making him non-unique doesn't help, since he's waay too powerful as a non-unique. X, in my opinion, is probably north 0f 45 on top of this, probably north of 49. Having said all that, I applaud the ambition and the idea, I just think he does too much for one non-unique. Better to maybe split it into two complimentary pieces (Assistant Execitive maybe.) The Corsec be all/end all shouldn't be a non-unique. This guy is more powerful than a Jabba, Xizor or Garyn

You are probably right. , i might redo a new bribery, so that they dont get anything at all. or simply remove it and give the new one to assistant or someone else. likely will keep the rest though. might also remove evade. I wanted him to be powerful, just not necessarily powerful combat wise. This is a piece that you would only ever have one on the board. (though i do have an idea from which if you have this piece and another powerful Character with a CA etc and something happens to both, in the form of Corp Sec Negotiator). Not sure of the affect though.

Also note that this character represents a "named" character, such as CEO of Kuat Drive Yards (which is unique) or CEO of Blasttech etc. But this is a CEO or Board member exec representing on of the MANY corporations in the Corp Sec. Thus he is generic. I could make him Unique, the reality is that youd likely only ever want to have 1 of these guys/gals in your squad unless you are going with a huge point total for your squad (like 500 point squads or something so that youd have a backup if one somehow died).

I think i might just make him unique. there are indeed a rather large number of Executives in Corp Sec, it would just be woefully unlikely that youd run into more than one at his/her level in any situation other than some kind of negotiation situation. And if you really wanted to somehow play that out, you could create named Executives (though i dont think we know any of the names) for those corporations.

The only other change I could do to keep its theme is to remove dominate and replace it with an ability to allow a follower to activate that doesnt count as one of its 2 activations this turn. This is so that it cant activate one of your most powerful pieces and never be attacked due to diplomat.
