Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Affinity (May be in a Sith squad that includes a character whose name contains Krayt)
  • Diplomat (If an attacker has line of sight to any enemies without Diplomat, this character is not a legal target and does not count as the nearest enemy, even if adjacent)
  • Rival (This character cannot be in a squad that contains a character whose name contains Moff)
  • Victory Without War (Replaces attacks: range 3; 20 damage to target living enemy. The target can choose to negate this damage and instead remove 30 damage, then make a save of 11. On a failure, the target joins this character's squad until the end of the skirmish.)

Commander Effect

Non-unique enemies targeted by Victory Without War must choose to negate the damage and their save roll for that ability may not be modified or rerolled. Non-unique allies with Victory Without War gain In Service of the Mission.

Overload is a little strong for Victory. You have to make a +15 roll to avoid joining the other squad? Twice? All of this as a Diplomat which may make him impossible to stop getting close enough?? Even just making 2 saves of 11 may be tough for a Boba, Vader, etc. to make.

It is interesting that you say that as I was considering a thematic limitation. What are your thoughts on the CE now?

In lieu of Overload I created In Service of the Mission which is a self-damaging version of Overload. I also tweaked the CE so that VWW, when targeting non-uniques, is a straight save 11. No tricks on either side. Uniques can still reroll or have the save modified.
