Special Abilities

  • Speed 4 (Can move only 4 squares and attack, or 8 squares without attacking)
  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Feral Reflexes (This character can make an attack of opportunity against an enemy character that moves into or out of an adjacent square, ignoring enemy abilities and commander effects that prevent attacking.   • Non-sentient (Not subject to commander effects. This character cannot gain Diplomat or Aggressive Negotiations.)
  • Poison +20 (+20 Damage to living enemy; save 11)
  • Poison Spray (Replaces turn: living enemies within 3 squares take 10 damage; save 11, and are considered activate this round; save 11.)
  • Tiny (Cannot be targeted by an enemy farther than 6 squares)

Dinko vision worked by sensing movement—accordingly, they would attack anything that moved.

OK, I guess creators' comments aren't public...? V.1 - very rough draft. Want a feral, but fairly weak (and mostly un-spammable) nasty little bugger. Attacks anything that get's near it. Tried to use existing abilities to approximate viciousness, but takes a lot of them. 10cm, so shouldn't get popped by shooters unless at close range. I'd like something like Jedi reflexes on it. Move into adjacency, it snaps at you. It's a lot on a piddly critter, I could roll some of it into a new SA. Cost? no clue...

It's probably costed right (I had it at 8) but you're right in that for a lil sh!t, it just seems to do too much ....

Change toxic spray to poison spray will omit that breath mask line.

Thanks all, for the feedback. I'm rethinking this critter a bit, since V1 was thrown together hastily. Same concept mostly, minor roadblock (and leave me alone, or you might regret it). Not meant to be an aggressor. Just reacts, like a snake, doesn't care who or what gets too close, just strikes. (not allies though, lol) @LB, good point on Poison and wording. If no unintended interactions with other "poison" related effects, that's a nice card space trim, thanks!

Major update, and further edits. I had Paralysis on it, but removed as seemed pointless as the AoOs and poison are its thing. Upped Poison to +20. Poison Spray is now replaces turn, since its an area effect rather than targeting 1 character. Made it slower, upped attack and defense, got rid of that big mess of abilities and rolled them up into Feral, which is ripe for giving out to savages elsewhere ;)

Also feel like he has a lot going on for 9 points. Not overpowered but just a touch wordy for a small part of the squad. Poison spray is near!
