Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Twin Attack (Whenever this character attacks, he makes 1 extra attack against the same target)
  • Close-Quarters Fighting (+4 Attack against adjacent enemies)
  • Evade (When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11)
  • Callous (This character may target allies.)
  • Hidden Agenda (Set this character up with an opponents squad. Your opponent gains control of this character, and he does not count as a legal target for your opponent. Whenever your opponent attacks with this character they must make a save 16 or the attack roll is an automatic 1. At the end of this characters turn you may attempt a save equal to the point cost of your opponents characters within 6 squares to return this character to your control.)
  • Broken Loyalty (Once per skirmish, if a Unique character you control ends it's movement within 6 squares, regardless of line of sight, you may replace that characters attacks, this character takes an immediate turn under your control, at the end of that turn this character is no longer under your opponents control and all damage is removed from this character.)
  • Advanced Door Gimmick (At the end of his turn, this character can designate 1 door that he can see as open; it remains open and cannot be closed until the end of this character's next turn, or until he is defeated)

Commander Effect

Droids are subject to this effect: Allies within 6 squares may immediately move 2 squares whenever they defeat an enemy.

Very interesting! Kudos for going with a non-Force user. So this is sort of a combo of Han Carbonite (that can do stuff) + Ruthless Garm? Hidden Agenda: Is this like Dominate, i.e. while the opponent is controlling him he is treated as part of the opp's squad? (for purposes of Callous and otherwise) Broken Loyalty: does this apply to either/all players, or only the original squad's player?

Yes hidden agenda is kind of like a permanent dominate until it is deactivated by broken loyalty. However, the character doesn't count as having joined the opponents squad, hence why callous is necessary.

Thanks for the clarification. Even more interesting! My gut feeling of intent was as you stated, but I wasn't sure. It could get complicated, maybe not so much... (I did see your glossary for Callous, thanks for that), but I must say, the concept is clever, flavorful and reusable wherever else it might fit. Nice work! I'll try to mull all this over as time permits, just for clarity of wordings if needed. Otherwise, looks like a fun character to play.

At first glance, like Swine says, the combo SA's seem complicated. I'm not sure what to say. I guess as the new "owner" you could just avoid letting anyone get within 6 to avoid letting Broken kick in ... but if you win you also miss out on 34 points, which seems like "cheating." Certainly more complicated than the Argyus I made ..... Not sure whats up with the CE. I didn't watch the whole episode; didn't he knock nearby Droids to "fool" the Republic??

The CE is mostly due to Nute being able to get the jump on Gree, made it affect droids just to make it more useful, otherwise something like this would never see play.

"Otherwise something like this would never see play" is exactly my point .... I'd hide him, lock him in a back closet .... and have my 200 pt. squad square off against your 166 pt. squad. Isn't that asking for trouble??

Well that's not very sporting. He's about as competitive as han in Carbonite, so perhaps a cost reduction?

"Not very Sporting" .... I wouldn't say the group I play in is cutthroat, but if you give me that much of an opening, I wouldn't turn it down :) It's an interesting idea, but I wouldn't use it; you need to make it more enticing or its DOA on the drafting board.

Surf has a valid point. Sure, you gain an attacker and/or blocked for free, but the risk of this guy reverting back to your opponent's squad is significant. Couple that with the last line of Hidden Agenda and he becomes a weak attacker. The smart play is to lock him in the back, maybe tying up your own 8-point Override piece to keep the opponent from reclaiming their 26-point piece. That's a very likely deficit of 18ish points for the player who fields this guy. On the other hand, big kudos for a great thematic build!

May I suggest a couple of tweaks? First, a requirement that this guy end his turn within 6 squares of two allies (or an ally of equal or greater printed cost) or he reverts to the original squad. To keep it from getting shady you can add "may not be targeted for the rest of round". A second option, add a benefit to entice the opponent to use this guy while on his team.

Excellent suggestions, trying something way out there so there is bound to be a lot of undesirable problems.

As Saber said, give me a reason to use him that I can't resist, otherwise lock him in a closet because he isn't worh it to me to expose him.

Added advanced door gimmick to simulate his level of security clearance.

Interesting thoughts here but I just think it's a bit wordy

I missed the wording change(s) but see some spots where they might be trimmed down.

Yeah it's a bit clunky right now, but the main points are there. Perhaps someday I'll clean it up.
