Special Abilities

  • Sith Hunter (+4 Attack and +10 Damage against Sith enemies)
  • Advantageous Cover (+8 Defense from cover instead of +4)
  • Combat Veteran (When this character makes an attack, the subject of the attack does not gain any bonus for having cover. This preempts Stealth and Cloak.)

Went with Sith Hunter as it is more thematic, but more limiting than Jedi Hunter (same effect, but against any opposition force users). a few of these guys could serious hurt a big name sith, while still being troopers in their power level. Though I might have it cost too high.

Against sith it does become pretty beastly. And it can get bonuses from arkanian Jedi general so+8 +20 against sith. But 60 damage with a 12 attack in that build is powerful for 15 points

"Costed it too High?" Base = 11, With Cover, 13. With Hunter, 16. With Twin, 21. Conservetively.

Can still do 60, but only with crits.

"Can still do 60, but only with crits" still doesn't make it Not 21 pts.

I think combat veteran could probably just say "ignores cover" and been the same? But that's pretty strong effect for a decent shooter. I think Cost needs to come up to the 25-30 range at least for such a strong ability.

Yeah, Combat Veteran could just be "ignores cover when targeting" without negating the enemy's cover bonus. Then maybe drop atk/def stats a point each. Would that get it to 15?

^ still think CV negating enemy's cover bonus probably pushes it past 15pts (since so many trooper boosts in OR), but I've always liked the Vet angle since WotC started it. Nice piece. :)
