Special Abilities

  • Flight (Ignores difficult terrain, enemy characters, low objects, and pits when moving)
  • Flank (When a Unique ally attacks an adjacent enemy who is also adjacent to this character, that enemy gets -4 Defense)
  • Flanking Attack (Until the end of the round, an enemy attacked by this character has -4 Defense against allies with Mounted Weapon)
  • Flanking Support (If this character combines fire against an enemy within 6 squares and the attack hits, that enemy has -4 Defense until the end of the round against allies that do not have Mounted Weapon.)
  • Mobile Attack (Can move both before and after attacking)
  • Mount (This character can transport 1 Small or Medium ally who ends their move adjacent to it. Remove that ally from the battle grid; they move simultaneously with this character, have cover, and are considered adjacent to it. They can make attacks, counting distance from this character. A transported ally can return to the battle grid immediately before your first activation of the round. If this character is defeated, the transported ally is also defeated; save 6.)
  • Speed 10 (Can move up to 10 squares and attack, or 20 squares without attacking)

Haha nice! And yep living qualifies too. Seems like you went heavy on the flank hahaha. As accurate to the contest as this is none of them synergize with other Dactillions. Maybe a new ability like Blood Frenzy: Allied savage characters gain +4 attack and Bloodthirsty when attacking enemy characters adjacent to this character.

Haha, I did indeed go all-in on the Flanking premise. The original WotC one was not Savage, but probably because of the rider (which is part of the plan here, but not necessary). Not much to go on from WP. Do we still not have a CE that grants savages Bloodthirsty yet?! (seems so obvious, lol)

Well, except for mount and the Flanks that's the WOTC. Those four aren't ridiculous abilities so costing them two each you actually didn't need to reduce the attack by 2. Not sure if I'd use it, but then again if you're so inclined, its not better/worse than anything else comparable.

I wonder how a Dactillion Flank Steak tastes.... Just curious is there a specific reason for all the flanking? And why does it have a ranged attack(though without range Flanking Support would be pointless) and Mount? I get a rider having a ranged attack, but without a mounted ally just seems weird.

Yeah, I went WAY literal with GG's mention of flanking-type support. ;) It's a mess at the moment. I don't want to put a pre-ordained rider on it, unlike the original. Since it's living, I should drop Flanking Attack (noting the irony that it is literally a "mounted' weapon, haha). I like GG's Bloodthirsty Dacts suggestion, but that would require them to have Melee Attack. Difficult to meld it all together within cost parameters, but I will tinker with it a bit. *Flank* was a given since the rider would always be adjacent.
