wow this is a powerhouse. double twin plus the extra 30 damage plus bloodthirsty. i mean. if everything goes right. 40 + 40 + 40 + 40 + 30 equals 190 damage with Talon or any other damage boost.

Of course in your scenario the target is already adjacent and at least half dead. So it probably won't survive the first twin. Max vs. a healthy target that stopped adjacent is 150 -170. Chicken feed. (or dinosaur feed, whatever)

true but if first two hit for 60, than the next two get bloodthirsty and do 80 plus the 30 equals 170. or he can attack 2 hurt enemies as well to do the same.

... for the purposes of the CCC, he's got one too many abilities .... Regarding the piece itself, it's base stats are 22 .... with the 7 abilities he's got, he's more like 40, so yeah of course he's a powerhouse and a Bargain at 25 ......

Technically speaking Bloodthirsty is wasted here as even though Double Claw requires adjacency, it's not technically a melee attack.

Wow... This is guy is way out there, Like they said, Bloodthirsty makes no sense because he doesn't have Melee. Also, Hugely disagree with indiscriminate on a Non Unique.. I know its only bypassing targeting, it just doesn't seem right. IMO of course. Everything about him scream he is suppose to be Melee, besides the fact he is not Melee at all...

dropped a few SA, lowered Dmg to 10. 3 things that are the most important are they're resistant to blasters, can bite & shoot

Looking better now Jak, only major concern I have is with reptilian skin, that's a pretty potent ability especially with health as high as he has. I do think that it fits for the species but gameplay-wise I think dropping it to 10 damage or else cutting down his HP to even 40 might be good?

Or maybe two saves of 6, reduce damage 10 for each success. (Unless they were totally immune to blaster fire)

they pretty much were immune, according to Wookieepedia, a killer blast would just leave a slight burn(1st degree)

I suppose if you based him you could kill him and if boosted he can hit back pretty hard. Otherwise you need to expend some heavy ordinance to kill him off. Hard to take for just a 25 point piece.

Chomp! is fun, albeit kinda sick with where this guy is at currently. Under-costed even with the +/- margin for 'aggressively costed', IMO. Reptilian Skin (as mostly immune to blaster fire) might be better balanced if it only works against attacks.

Well. the problem here as LB and swine have said, you Still have some hefty abilities. Base 15, Claw, Regen & Twin bring it to 23-24. Chomp brings it to 28-29 and because Skin is a third hefty ability (4-5 pts) plus a penalty for so many heavy duty abilities, its cost is Still 35-36. No negative abilities, Claw is your smallest ability at 2-3 pts ....

A better question is how are You costing them? 60 Hp is usually a pt per 10 (6) Defense is 0 till 12, then a pt every other number(1 for 13/14, 2 for 15-16, 3 for 17-18. Same for Attack (1 for 1-2, 2 for 3-4 etc) so you;re base alone is 15; Twin alone is Very hefty at 4-5 pts so with just the One ability you're up to 19-20. Dbl Claw is at least 2-3 = 21-23. How much are You valuing things, never mind the custom abilities.

I've got an Excel program that donny & I tweeked about a year or two ago; something I inherited from the old WOTC forum. donny used to ask me about costing all the time, I gave this to him, we updated it and he never asked me again how I get the cost. I've given it to any/everyone who asks, Recently gave it to CHS. It's pretty darn accurate ( with that +/- 5 for costing aggressively ) to each individuals costing tastes. Again, how are You costing things?

@SR-I use the SWAG method of costing. Of course I don't belittle others who don't it. you've taken the fun out of this. creating Characters is an art, you've tried to turn into a scientific equation, with you secret formula.Best we just leave all the figure costs blank, and defer to your magic formula.

Hey as far as fun and reducing it to a scientific equation, I suck at math and this is what I've neen using over ten years give or take a tweak. I see plenty of artistry in peoples ideas but I think fantasy land is a different place; and I live six miles from Disneyland so Trust me I know what fantasyland looks like. Its not a secret or magic formula. I don't know what the V-Set guys use but I'm sure they do something other then pick numbers out of a hat.

Realistic pieces are what we need to create; not saying yours isn't realistic, but I'm assuming you want to be taken "seriously" as a custom creator and not a fanboy. You've done Lots of interesting pieces over the years. You and I have been around a long time jak.
