Special Abilities

  • Unique
  • Rival (Cannot be in a squad with any Droid characters)
  • Momentum (If this character has moved this turn, he gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies)
  • Avoid Defeat (Whenever this character would be defeated, make 2 saves, each needing 11; if both succeed, this character has 10 Hit Points instead of being defeated)
  • Droid Detector (Droids within 6 squares of this character lose Stealth and Cloaked)
  • Throw Enemy 2 (Replaces attacks: touch; 30 damage to 2 target Medium or smaller enemies without a Force rating, and push those enemies to 4 squares from this character; save 16)
  • Rapport (A character named Wuher costs 4 points less when in the same squad as this character)

Commander Effect

At the end of this character's turn, a non-unique Fringe follower within six squares may immediately move up to its speed and make an attack against an adjacent enemy. If the attack hits, push the enemy back two squares. Allies named Wuher and Figrin D'an gain Relay Orders.

The proprietor of Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina in Mos Eisley, this Wookiee had an intense hatred of droids and a more moderate dislike of troublemakers in his establishment.

Looks fun. :) I would just make DD say that Droids are not considered to have cover. It's a pretty short list with Stealth/Cloaked and mostly Seps.

That would probably be better gameplay wise, but thematically it doesn't make as much sense, I think. The detector shows that a droid is there, but it doesn't remove their cover. Unless you mean allies ignore cover while targeting? That could work.

If they don't have cover then they are always legal targets (outside of Diplomat, Invisibility and such). That would be some serious Droid hate, for sure. Theme seems hard to capture here. :/

Nothing's going to capture it perfectly, as the real detector was a stationary one at the entrance to the cantina, but I think this serves well enough. It is just for theme, it's not meant to contribute too much to the cost.

I'm dumb. Was thinking about theme (the Detector in the Cantina), but here it's only within 6 of Chalmun, so Droids losing cover is not a big deal.

My poor droids, so much Droid hate. I still hate Wuher hahaha

Chalmun hated droids even more than Wuher .... "We Don't Serve Droids ...." could be expanded here .... I've got an Ackmena around here somewhere .....

Interesting character. Momentum and Throw enemy is actually a really neat combo. I'd love playing that a time or two.

Well, Rival and his Droid Detector seems to cover his hatred enough. Wuher was the iconic We Don't Serve Their Kind Here, so it doesn't have to be as big a facet of Chalmun's character. Besides, Wuher can be in a squad with droids, while this guy can't, so the fact that he hated droids even more is covered.

Did I overlook the big Wuher Rapport? Probably. VERY few characters under 10 should ever get more than a -1 cost reduction from a single piece. Wuher needs zero, but for flavor factor -1 works for me. [Zuckuss and 4-LOM] won't care. ;)

Eh, it made sense to me. Rival for mouse droids, so this guy needs some other relay orders to spread the CE. Not much reason to play Wuher in your base squad normally. Now he's 5 point relay orders that's harder to target. I think it's thematic that you have his bartender in your squad to tell his bouncers to kick out trouble.

Without the rapport, you're not going to play Wuher for relay orders over a Killik Drone, and I want Wuher to see some play not as a reinforcement for certain matchups. With them at the same cost, No Blasters and 20 HP gives him something to match Satchel Charge.

Point missed and now understood, thanks!

Definitely fairly well thought out. I think the improved defense of no blasters is definitely a reason to invest an extra point or 2 in a wuher (could tone down rapport slightly), but yeah that Drone sure doesn't seem very well thought out or drone-ish to me..
