Simple and effective, my only gripe is maybe changing the first part of the CE to the ability Rival for Non-fringe Commanders

I agree with GG about the Rival SA being used. I also toyed with the Squad SA's but went a different route.

I wanted to avoid Rivalry, as I view him (and his team) as working with whichever side he "supports" in the invasion of his homeworld, just not taking orders from them, as ultimately their end goals are different.

I can make that an SA though just so it's not cancel-able.

Switched Homeworld Pride to the pseudo-rivalry, and added synergy to replace the old pride, as Pathfinder works well enough in place of granting stable footing.

Impressive! Its I like the thematic cohesion between the Name, the new SA, and the effect that it has on the battlefield. The only minor comment I have is that I would anticipate a homeworld to be related to maybe one or two species, yet your effect benefits many distinct groups (soldiers from different races).

I hear you, though species aren't very well defined in SWM, I just interpret it as species that have migrated to the planet now call it home and are willing to defend it. It's far less of a stretch than a plethora of other things in SWM.
