A Sith Maul with all the right ingredients: mobility, staying power and high damage output. Be sure to consider the Sith Probe Droid for further synergy.

Does he have access to MotF2? That would be up to 160 damage in one turn - not counting the potential bonus attacks (with Twin) from Juyo. Otherwise I can't see Sith Rage being used over Lightsaber Assault except on an AOO. Still, powerful piece and appropriately costed - aggressive but not game-breakingly so.

I don't believe he has access to MotF2, but anyone with greater knowledge of this faction can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Also, against someone with armor/damage reduction Sith Rage may be more desirable than LS Assault. Two hits for 30 each becomes 40 damage, or 4 hits for 20 becomes 40 damage (assuming a damage reduction of 10). I'd rather only have to succeed on two attacks for the same end result than 4 attacks.

Maul's a Vaapad. think i misspelled that.

Actually, Maul's dominate style was Juyo. Why WotC gave him Vaapad I have no idea.

several things: Deus Sol you did spell Vaapad right, i think Saber, damage reduction doesn't work on sabers. I really like Juyo. saber assault and twin on unactivated person=120. ow. and he can move 6 and do it. 9

@Durge4-LOM: I was referring to DR that does work on sabers, such as Vonduun Crab Armor or Shields. Granted, it won't often be an issue but such things wouldn't slow Maul down. Also, as you pointed out, with Krayt, Maul can forego Lightsaber Assault and spend his FP on Rage. 160 damage with Cunning, anyone? A deep-strike auto kill of two enemy commanders would make the Sith a faction to be feared.

oh. you saying damage reduction just led me to believe that you actually meant "damage reduction"

Hmm pretty cool. But as I remember he is more of a swordsmen from hell, not a force battery. (Did I use that term right? lol)

Force Battery is someone who generates force points and allows others to use them. Giving Maul 1/1 is actually realistic as Palps wouldnt take on an apprentice "weak" in the force. It also helps differentiate my version from previous WotC versions. Not giving 2/1 was to reflect that he is more physically inclined rather than a force attacker.

I don't wanna fight him...

I recently ran this Maul and my Sith Probe Droid(s) against a friend of mine. It worked well, even though the squad he built was the worst matchup (Master Tactician = no Cunning) for mine. My biggest critique is that Maul was running out of Force nearly every round as he would spend 1 to swap and 1 to LS Assault.
