Quite the bag of tricks. The CE wording keeps it honest. This would be very interesting to play. GOWK with Grenades 40 or Missiles 30 would be a terror. Would Tarpals allow for double use?

I just think this piece is fun. Shinja's wording is much better than how I worded it initially, but he left off one key piece of the CE: allies only get the special abilities if they have printed attack rating greater than 0 and printed damage rating greater than 0.

@saber1: Once an ally uses one of the abilities, the Arcona Arms Dealer would be considered activated and they would lose the ability and not be able to use it a second time with Tarpals.

The attack +4, heavy weapon, and 30 base damage was intentional. He's not much of a shot, but he does have access to the best weaponry so if he does hit you, it will hurt.

yeah having the no 0 damage characters gain it is good. because r2 with any of those would suck.

It's a CE, so droids wouldn't be affected anyway. I was thinking more along the lines of how unfair it would be to have diplomats with Grenades 40.

ah i c. also if the character that got the abillity had a different replaces attacks abillity they could use that with tarpals. that could be pretty fun having a character do grenades 40 and grenades 30, or missiles 30 and grenades 30 or something.

Yeah, but you can already have Boushh doing Grenades 40 twice or Anakin with Qui-Gon's Force Spirit Twin Assaulting twice for 8 attacks. Tarpals can be pretty powerful.

No, no offense taken. I was just pointing out that if you wanted to do 2 big grenades in one turn, you don't have to use a custom piece like this - it's already out there. I didn't know if you thought a character needed two different abilities that replace attacks for Tarpals. He lets you use the same ability twice if you want.

The CE is nullified after the first use of the ability, so Tarpals would not work with him.
