I like it. I didn't realize it was still new either.

The poll question doesn't make any sense.

"What do you think?" is not a yes or no question, even in that context.

Don't know him from Adam, but I like him already Laugh

I dig those Gotal Mercs ThumpUp

Edit: Oh, and I like the init rule just fine.

I clicked "yes" because I assume that a "yes" means that you are in favor of it. For the reasons previously stated, it is a good rule.

On the flip side, it definitely tones down the effectiveness of Cunning Attack and Master Tactician (the latter of which possibly needed it for the Thrawns, but not so much for the over-priced Revan).

I voted yes. It opens up the game to an additional level of strategy that was absent before it. It also takes a small degree of the luck element out of the game, which is also good if you are playing it for its tactical and strategic elements primarily, which I do.

It forces the players to actually make a choice after winning init, which was always the intention of the game. Rob never intended init to be the "I win" button it had become. The change worked so well in D&D that it was a natural to come over to SWMs. I supported it then, supported it when it happened, and fully support it now, to the point that I see playing with out it as a waste of my time, and generally won't do it.

I started playing with this rule when I first heard about pre-Clone Wars set. I like it. I usually play multi-player games with 3 - 6 players, and this rule has allowed for some great strategies. You are forced to decide what best suits your needs by going either first or otherwise. But, again, it's not in the rule books,so if you don't like it, and no one wants to play by DCI Rules, then don't use the rule.

Hell, my friends and I often discuss and agree to alter rules just to see how the game plays out. That's the beauty of non-tournament games.

I like it as well. Although I was not against the first version. A little bit of chance involved in gameplay is what makes games fun.

Yes for the new Initiative rule.

Reduces the luck factor of rolling dice, to a degree.

More game strategy needed...it also has changed some squad designs.

Good for the competitive game, though some casual players won't use it(:

I don't like it. Kills the effectiveness of most of your Cunning-based squads, and a good player should never leave a vulnerable piece in line of sight at the beginning of the round anyway. Yet somehow, I always manage to do so...
