When did they confirm that, I never heard anything about it?

In one of the chats with Sarah and Rob they said no huge sets for 2009 and not likely any time soon.

They also said the model going forward was to be 1 scenario pack, 1 starter a year and 3 40 piece sets with possible supplements. If that holds true then the only way you would get a huge would be if 1 or 2 came in the scenario pack. So, they could make a sarlacc and redo the Skiff for a scenario if they thought they would sell enough.

Given the economy and the layoffs at WOTC I would say the idea of them putting out a $22 booster is not really high on their priority list. IMHO.

Thanks to everyone for responding to this forum. Sorry that I haven't been able to post for a while. You all have some great ideas going. ThumbsUp

The Shift Sands idea is excellent, because then everyone just couldn't walk around the Sarlacc pit, plus it would throw a wrench into all of those positioning-based squads.

Boba52 has a great idea with the create-your-own Sarlacc. You could get just a little Sarlacc to mess up your opponent, or you could make a gigantic Sarlacc to devour waves upon waves of troopers. BigGrin

Also, no more Huge sets? What's up with that? Cursing ThumbDown

Here is some stats I made on Sarlacc Pitt from WOTC.

Fringe
Cost 42
HP:130
Def:16
attk:7
Dam:10

Savage
Twin Attack
Triple Attack
Emplacement
Huge
Melee Reach 6
Devour (on a roll of 20, that character is defeated; save of 16)
Paralysis

This would be cool to use to protect the gambit zone.
What do you think?

In two or three months, I think.

Great job, AdmiralAckbar. That piece would utterly dominate Gambit play

I kinda regret not giving it melee reach 12, but it might be more devestating than kohun infestation.

It's not bad, but if it were used to protect the gambit zone, ON the gambit zone, you would get massive points and everyone that is an enemy would die!

By the way, I didn't give it savage because of its encampment. Oh and wouldn't this ability be cool: HH-Anger;when this character is below half health, its damage +10, attack +4, and defence +6.

Maybe other characters have to go in and pull characters out by making save rolls? What do u guys think?

If memory serves Fett got himself out using his jet pack and Dengar found him in the sand in the wreckage of Jabba's sail barge.

Excellent thread BTW, lovin the work you guys are doing. ThumbsUp

Oh and here is the Wotc link to a downloadable Sarlacc 2-D tile.

Sarlacc Mini 2-D tile

Hope this helps you guys. Smile

I think the Sarlacc would be cool as a gargantuan. The stats in the RPG are listed as that size. I think that accounts for tentacle reach.

Your memory does serve you right. Boba used his grenades, guns, missile, etc. to get out. Dengar just picked him up.
