It is the Kalashtar Bodyguard from one of the DnD sets. If you look in the gallery there is another repaint of her that inspired me to go out and get her. Just switch out her sword for a light saber and repaint. I know other people who hae gone and snapped up one of her to use her as Jaina also.

This miniature is an experiment in creating other members of underrepresented species: Cerean

Right now, this is my attempt to create a Ki-adi-Mundi. I only have the one from Clone Strike.
Keep in mind, this is a prototype as I haven't added washes to bring out the creases in the head.

Dean they look great. The best part of customising (in my opinion) is the fun of doing it !

sometimes the results are better than others... but its always fun

Im already having fun planning the R&R set....

Put them on a site like photobucket. Then copy the direct link and post them to this thread in [.img][/.img] without the periods. I hope that makes sense; I'm super distracted right now.

That is exactly how I do it. Although photobucket gives you an [img] link so you don't even need to use the button here for it. I'm sure you know that already, but it didn't come across totally clearly.

I took Salacious off of Rebel Storm Jabba. I then used a small base and glued him.

Thanks for the kind words... I feel good about the painting but I must say my son and I are no where near the quality of some of the other guys modding these minis. I think we all could learn from some of these guys and gals.

I also think that doing the customs brings an element of collecting and fun much like buying minis when WOTC had the game. I kind of get the same rush. I must say it has been a long time since I got that rush because in the last 5 or 6 sets WOTC was giving me my sets for worked performed.

That's a good point. I've really been missing opening up boosters, there's nothing like it! Well except for the last many sets where buying a case wasn't that exciting ThumbDown but maybe customizing can bring the rush back.

But starting to make customs are a whole new aspect of the game for me, but i'm looking forward to getting the time to sit down and make a few. Though the first 10+ will probably suck big time.
