It's not about the rules of English, it's how words work in minis.
I actually don't think it's confusing, I see how it COULD be confusing. But also, two people are making a huge stink about something that everyone accepted up until a week ago. You've been told how it works, it's been explained in multiple ways, and the same arguments keep getting made. I don't know what else to say at this point. It really seems like arguing for the sake of arguing.

If it were extendable, it would say, "On this character's turn, he can place an ally within 6 squares in an adjacent square."
