  • Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies)
  • Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving)
  • Shien Style Mastery (When hit by a nonmelee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11 and the attacker takes damage equal to the prevented damage; save 11)
  • Driving Assault (Replaces turn; this character can move up to speed, and as he moves he can attack each adjacent enemy; this character cannot attack any enemy more than once while using this ability.)

  • Force Pull 2 (Force 2, replaces attacks: range 6; Move target Large or smaller enemy adjacent to this character. Make an immediate attack against that enemy.)

I was trying to create this Vader only going off of his scene in Rogue One. Satchel Charge represents him forcing open the door. I used Force grip instead of Choke since Force Choke pulls the character adjacent. Sith Sorcery represents him pulling all the blasters away from the rebel troopers.

There's a force power called Door Shatter that's used to destroy doors with a range of 6, that's likely what Darth Vader uses when he forces (pun intended) doors open

how about a bonus against non unique enemies since he walked down the hall kicking the SH*t out of all the rebel troopers. And he has a history of killing defenseless children :)

I think the bonus should be to saves against non-uniques. so give Shien style a save of 7 vs. non-uniques. Really you should just go ahead and say any character that costs less than 25 Vader automatically makes all saves against.

^ Perfect!! LOL =D

@Jargon: Ah! Thank you! I was pretty sure there was a FP for that, but I couldn't remember what it was called! @donnyrides/@jen'ari: Does Terrifying Aura seem fitting to what you were thinking? It's not an automatic save, but it's definitely going to be hard to hit him!

terrifying aura is awesome and very much a representation of that time

I do not think I like driving assault because he always killed everyone before moving on.

Well done, a lot going on but all seems to fit

Add Master of the Force 2 and Sith Rage, then the circle will be complete.

Driving Assault and Terrifying Aura both have a lot of potential. I'm not a fan of Sith Sorcery on Vader. Shien really fits his fight scene on the Rebel ship.

@jen'ari: In the rogue one scene, as I remember it, he never really stopped moving... he just sort of waded through them and slashed them to bits as he went. With 14 attack/30 Damage I would think that he'd be able to take down the cheaper non-uniques (which is what the rebels probably were) in a single blow. Or if he needs to, he could use any of his Force Powers to finish them off at the end of the turn. And if he comes across an enemy worth stopping for, he's got double attack. (plus an extra attack or force power at the end of the turn with Battle Master)

@DarthMaim: I like it! I didn't think of Sith Rage! Very fitting! How much do you think that would bump up the cost?

@saber1: with Sith Sorcery, I was going for the function of the ability - to represent him force pulling the troopers' blasters away from them. Is it just the name "sorcery" that doesn't seem fitting to Vader (I would agree with that, by the way. I just didn't want to come up with a rename for it), or does Vader having the ability to potentially stun enemies within 6 not seem right? (I was also questioning that) Any suggestions for better FPs or do you think I should just drop it?

I like Sorcery.

I wouldn't say he stunned them. He disarmed them, but they were free to run or go to fisticuffs. Vader either attacked with his saber, swiped your gear or choked fools.

I agree he didn't stop doing stuff. I just do not see it as continuous movement forward. Question: I use driving assault and attack two characters and end adjacent to the second one. Battle master allows him to make an attack at the end of the turn, but driving assault says he cannot attack the same enemy twice. So how does that play out?
saber1

I would assume Driving Assault ends with movement as does its limitation. Then, at the end of turn BM kicks in.

I'm fine with Driving Assault and Sorcery. I really like Terrifying Aura! And Side Step fits in well too.

@Saber1: do you think something like: "enemies within 6 squares get -20 attack for the rest of the round; save 11" would be more fitting?
Lafcadio
1/18/2017 4:37:06 PM

@Jen'ari: Good catch! I didn't think of that! What saber1 said was what I was thinking. I'll edit the wording a bit to avoid confusion though.

Given MOTF 2 and Sith Rage. Bumped cost up to 64 (from 60) does that seem good?
saber1

Instead of Sith Sorcery, maybe something like Disarm: Force 2, usable when targeted by an attack: Target gains -10 damage and Melee Attack for rest of round, save 11. This hoses ranged with gaining Melee but allows big beats to still punch and kick.
CorellianComedian

I think Sorcery does the job just fine - I like what you're going for with Disarm, but it's really expensive to use it individually on several different people when Sorcery will hit everyone with just one go. Not to mention there's no way for enemies to move up to you and Melee Attack you once they've declared a target, so unless they can Mobile out of sight they may as well have their turn canceled anyways.
