Kind of strange to build a squad with strict limits without knowing what your opponent has. Maybe his SC gave him enough for a tier 1 squad. Maybe he got nothing.

Can't say what I'll feel like after this is over, but Sep/Rep sounds fun.

AndyHatton and I played our game tonight in the Courtyard of the Temple on Lorahns (i.e. the Teth Courtyard map).

Lorahns: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lorahns
Temple: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Great_Temple_%28Lorahns%29

This is what I ran:

--Before Endor: Round One, Teth Courtyard--
21 Admiral Ackbar
18 Rebel Leader
17 SpecForce Vanguard
30 SpecForce Technician x2
75 SpecForce Infiltrator x5
11 Rebel Commando Munitions Expert
10 Treadwell Droid
7 Twi'lek Scout
8 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist x2
3 Mouse Droid

(200pts. 16 activations)
http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/122804/before-endor--round-one--teth-courtyard

Andy had a trooper squad with mostly Sandtroopers, boosted by officers, GARY, and Grodin Tierce's Clone plus Antares Draco for Melee interference. He might post his whole squad.

The Cloaked and Stealth pieces were basically the difference in the match. Once the main door was open, the Dresselian SpecForce Infiltrators* had a relatively clear shooting range, boosted to 4 shots by the Verpine SpecForce Technicians*. There was always cover, but with Cunning and Ackbar they were at a constant +12, and at +18 when combining fire with another character (+6 for combine fire from the Rebel Leader, or plus another 4 if the Rangefinder was in effect). So they hit a decent amount, and the combine fire all but ensured they hit when it was most important. A large number of Imperial troops died on the approach, but the Imperials stuck with the attack to see what Draco could do once he closed ground. Draco managed to reach an Infiltrator and kill him before even taking a scratch himself, but by coming close he was within Spotter range (granted to pretty much everyone from the Rebel Leader's CE). Two Infiltrators and two Spotters took him out (even without Cunning Attack from the Infiltrators). That was enough for Grand Admiral Rulf Yage to decide he'd seen enough. He ran off to live to fight another day.

* I used Dresselians and Verpines as the proxies, respectively. It was nice to get some use out of the unused minis.

How awesome is this? I just picked Lorahns at random from the list of planets on Wookieepedia that said they had temples that might look like they could have a courtyard like the one on the Teth Courtyard map. So tonight I just read about the temple. The Temple is for an order called Ffib. (They lie about the Jedi - oh close clever puns by the Star Wars developers.) Turns out that the order of the Ffib had an outpost on Endor established before the Clone Wars. So looks like this battle was more important to the Rebellion than I realized. After the battle, the infiltrators were able to make contact with some Ffib priests, who relayed some first-hand information about the surface of the Forest Moon.

Telling the Supreme Commander is not a bad idea, but not required. shmi15 asked the Imperials to send the squads beforehand to make sure there were no illegal squads. I don't think knappskirata asked the Rebels to do so, but it wouldn't hurt.

I spoke with captaingig today and we may by well elect to showcase our match at Hammercon on the Sunday.

I thought I did. I thought it was in the bloo mail with allocatons. Any rebels who haven't sent their squad to me yet should do so, for both strategy and making sure it is legal

3 games out of 9 have been played so far - hopefully everyone can play this weekend. Post your results by Tuesday. The new maplist will be up then, and new character allocations by Friday.

Subject: Theed Cell Under Attack!
To: RSC
From: Captain Drex, Theed Field Command

Be advised a Victory Class ISD has appeared in the Theed sector and our intel reports a special OPS force has been dispatched on a seek and destroy mission. Our local intel indicates this force will be acting independently from the Theed Imperial garrison. Immediate assistance is required for field extraction.

Initiate encapsulation algorithm CG1282...

Begin transmission...

Supreme Commander,

We have begun our pacification of this sector. Unfortunately I must report that Lieutenant Gaff brought our vessel out of hyperspace too near the planet and the Rebels have been alerted to our presence. His service has been terminated. However, our commanding officer informs me that this will be no matter. He has assured us that the Emperor will be pleased with this field test of the new units. I hope he is right, for his sake.
As to my mission, scans have detected the Emperor's droid. It appears to be buried beneath the capital. My extraction team will be accompanying the landing party.

For the Empire,
Captain Thelonius Gig

Mad . . . . . . . . . . Who's the intelligence leak? It was as if their supreme commander knew exactly what forces I was bringing and prepared exactly for it.
