I was watching the SDCC Star Wars Spectacular this afternoon and they did a preview of Season 2. Kevin Pereira and Olivia Munn (she was wearing a shorted version of Princess Leia white gown in Episode 4 - HOT!!!) were interviewing the director of the Clone Wars, Dave Filoni, and he said that season 2 will be darker and geared more towards young adults than children. Also, they showed a preview clip and let me tell you it was awesome!!!!! Towards the end of the clip 4 characters were shown, all 4 were in get this.....Mandalorian Armor!!!! Frickin sweet!!!!! that caught my attention.
not a fan of the show, but for this season, i might have to be.
those Mandos look like the Death Watch Raiders, enemies to Jaster Mereel and Jango Fett (before he got decapitated.), betrayers to Mandalore (also the name of their planet.

They do not have Deathwatch armor. Maybe they are part of Alpha 02's Mandalorians. They were allied with the Separatists and tasked with capturing Padme. All but three died.

true, theyre wearing Neo crusader, but the insignias are of death watch.
this might be good for explaining those Seperatist commandos from...ROTS? or was it CS?

No, neo-crudsader armor was Kotor era. They are wearing the armor of the true mandalorians that were already destroyed. Most likely, they are of Alpha 02's force. They wore the true mandalorian armor and recruited out of the Deathwatch.

Neo Crusader still lives to this day, and is woven with cortosis. so it says in the LOTF Novel series.
but i will agree with you on them being alpha 02.

All I know is, I heard in an interview that they will start showing Anakin's dark side tendancies. That is what I want from the Clone Wars, the slide to the villian we love.

Season 2 looks like it'll be more interesting than Season 1. Can't wait to see what the Mandolorians are going to do. More Droid Commandos are always a good thing. And the Assasin Probes look like they'll be cool, along with the flamethrower clone troopers.
Again, Obi-Wan fights General Grievous before RotS on Utapau. Looked like they were on Felucia. Makes the dialog between the two of them on Utapau seem kinda pointless.
And a second battle of Geonosis? If that is Geonosis, then why are the Seps in control of it if the Republic already beat them there?
