Quick question, there was some converastion at our regional event earlier this year of doing another larger event in the fall. Since we are technically in the fall thought I would see if this is something that maybe a possibility? Love to get the Eugene Crew back up there. We have not played much since then. Though with Duck season full swing not sure how many of the guys would want to come. N-E-Ways thought I would see if there was any more convo about it.

Yeah, Lilly_wan and I had been talking a little about it. There aren't any definite plans, but it's rattling around in the back of my head. This weekend I'll see what the venue needs in terms of lead time. It's easy enough to set up if there is interest.

C3PO, Ewok Diety - Redux

Should we keep him in the 5-10 point range? (I think yes.)

I proposed this Special Ability.
Carried: As an adjacent allied character moves, this character can move up to a number of squares equal to that ally's speed. At the end of the move, this character must be adjacent to that ally.
(The wording is a combination of Tow Cable and Grapple Hook.)
Should Carried have a limit, e.g. small allies only, Ewoks only?

Should he retain Disruptive, Draw Fire and Evade?
(I think yes, yes and no.)

Also, I think 30 HP is standard 3PO and should be retained.

Discuss.

I like carried, I'd be fine with it as is or limited to Ewoks. Only Ewoks would be excited about moving goldie, but anyone could drag him if push came to shove.

I'd like to see him with "Adjacent allied Ewoks gain bodyguard" to give him something to do. He could draw fire with his shininess and his worshipers could fling themselves at the blaster bolts to save their God.

He should keep draw fire, it's his signature ability. Disruptive I'm not particular about one way or the other. Evade has to go, how exactly he and Palpatine on Throne are suppose to be dodging blaster fire has always evaded me.

[quote=Yoto_Yoto]I'd like to see him with "Adjacent allied Ewoks gain bodyguard" quote]

Or allied Ewoks gain bodyguard. If Boba Fett puts 30 on someone allied to an Ewok, that 10hp Ewok could soak up all the damage. Extreme example, but it might be a good way to play Ewoks... or it might make one or two Ewoks right to play with 3PO rather than an Ewok swarm. If that doesn't make sense it's because Rachel is in my ear telling me he should have "Laserguard" and Force Powers. Wub

A bodyguard swarm would be good fun.

I won't be around the next two weeks, I'm in Philadelphia until the 21st.

Very, very sorry I didn't make it today. I didn't get to sleep until well after 4am, and ended up sleeping until 1pm.

I'll be there this coming Saturday.

I understand the focus will be on swarms; I'm afraid, while I've acquired quite a few things since last time I played, I don't have much in the way of small point models, but will attempt to build a force with as many activations as possible.

Today's swarm focus was a blast, my game with Lily_Wan coming down to the last few characters.

We gave house-ruled 3PO a whirl, being carried about by Ewoks. I can't say I was super impressed, but perhaps it was my positioning and the lack of much in the way of commander effects to suppress.

Thanks for the enjoyable time, folks!

But your Ewoks were bodyguarding Han and Leia as well as one another with some tactical choices, losing one Ewok in favour of another. We're still fine-tuning 3PO; what would you like to see on him?

Oh, I totally forgot they got bodyguard from 3PO! That made all the difference, you're right.

Also, being new to the game, I'm sure I could have made some different tactical/positioning decisions to better take advantage of him.
