I would really like to see the Vong go towards what we saw in the first 4 books of the invasion. Where they chuck pawns at your face(that don't explode and aren't stealthed lol) then follow up with bigger melee tanks/beats.

This guy is actually crazy good. The coordinated movement (and giving it to all the commandos) gets really insane. They're constantly moving all over the board.

Some of Save11 messed around with the new set tonight. One of the nastier combination out there we saw just playing with v-set 8 pieces is a Commando Droid Officer swarm - they're robust with 70 hit points and stealth, and they all give each other Fire Control, Cannon shots, and 2 squares of movement. I'm wondering if there's a good tournament squad out there with them - they seem like a pretty good piece for the cost?

They overshadow the piece their trying to boost by themselves.

We were playing just with v-set 8 stuff, so no Commando Droids. I do think the Officers are really good with each other though - you can do some pretty fun stuff with doors etc with the movement, and they're robust enough for their cost. Probably cannoning a BX Sniper could be good too. I'm trying to figure out what a 200 point squad would look like - maybe Sidious and a Lancer?
