Fun Fun Fun!

i got out played.
but if i won that initiative I had a small chance. One of the more tactical games I have ever had to play. The set up for round 3 and the round 3 craziness was amazing and I had butterflies in my stomach like I used to when playing soccer against a better opponent, so that experience was amazing to have again, haha.

I really like Malgus, Caedus, Barris, Holocron, and Exar. I think I will play it and play it until I am really good with it.

it was awesome! and the Sith Holocron is a piece of art, it is tricky to play so it makes it well worth it, but man it can potentially do alot.

That for sure is one of Sith's best options, a nasty squad that can handle a lot! :)

Btw, not that it matters here - but that is not how ranking works. Gambit score plays no part it it whatsoever.

It should matter... It seems to make the most sense. If not, oh well, consider this my official " Power Rankings"

I dont know how much it should matter or not, but it should be established form the start. I would not have conceded the win when I had zero chance and would have lived another round (therefore TINT would have gotten another round of gambit) and he could have collected more gambit in one of the rounds if it was a large factor in things.

because conceding before the end should not really happen if the actual points (beyond the 3 for winning) play a part in rankings

I read it before. I am just discussing the philosophy of gambit and scoring. I did not really side one way or the other. just throwing out the idea that it would be unfair if we threw that in there when I conceded before all the points could be gleamed heck he could leave me with 20 points and let me kill all his pieces except jango and gain gambit for the next 6 rounds that take 3 minutes each if he gambit points played a huge huge part and ended with 290.
just saying.

as far as power rankings. You most definitely cannot power rank from gambit points. Some people just have really hard match-ups.
you really think that McNizzle's cloaked grenades is bottom tier?
or that you are 3rd? (thuglife)

Tracking points above 200 makes no sense whatsoever. If you reach 200 you have a full win. Once you hit 200 you don't get another round to earn more than that.

Shmi15 is just doing this for his own personal Power Rankings. It has no impact on pairings. His Power Rankings he is using Victory Points as well as points earned and win loss record to determine who goes where. No harm done. Im looking forward to seeing where everyone ends up Week 2. Also I would love to see others Power Rankings.

What des your rankings look like after round 1?

If I was in charge of analyzing the data I would put me in the "low middle" of the pack. Considering I played one of the all time greats who was wielding Kelborn and Vindicated. Also the history of good success Caedus, Barriss, and Exar have together would play a part in the ranking in the middle as well.

My power rankings after round 1 would be (without Frenchy, Arrow, Baine, and Rattlehead)

1. TINT
2. Theultrastar
3. Spryguy
4. PNKTD
5. Shmi15
6. McNizzle
7. UrbanShmi
8. DarthO
9. UrbanJedi
10. TimmerB
11. Jen'ari
12. Darth_Jim
13. Caedus
14. Naarkon
15. Kezza (got the bye, squad looks like he will be a high rank)

putting into effect "strength of schedule" what the squad looks like. (for instance UrbanJedi has 3 points, but I see no reason to put him above DarthO even though he beat him)

True enough. And I do appreciate seeing the standings before the round is over. Thanks for that.

Etienne and I are scheduled for Monday night.

ya, but I would like for him to use a different method than just points and gambit score. It is a shallow way of power ranking. Does not put into play strength of schedule or anything like that. I guess he is a BigTen conference fan, so strength of schedule does not really play a part in those rankings either.. "ka-ching"

I think your just mad that you lost round 1..... I have good feeling you will win round 2 Jen'ari, Looks like you and McNile will be playing each other Flapper Maybe you can climb the rankings for being 0-2 haha!

And P.S. The Big10 is the best, and Michigan is amaing. Are you a Bama fan Craig?

As a, once very competitive, man I have my misgivings about losing. But if I was going to lose, I am glad it was against a fun squad and that I tried to win, haha. I have more misgivings on not being able to play the squad right than I do losing. If I had competed better and lost I wouldn't feel bad. I don't think it is the squads fault that I lost, which means it was mine, so that part sucks.

So why don't you stop being lazy and actually try to power rank instead of throwing out a list based off of points and gambit? I know you barely played sports growing up, but even at the level you played at I am sure they had power rankings right?
