Seriously, this is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. Shawn is running this event out of the kindness of his heart and does not deserve any of the vitriol coming his way. He is the T.O. and made a decision based on the facts presented.
Jen, I absolutely have zero respect for someone making a comment about how someone is playing a squad. That's perhaps the most offensive thing I have seen from you. I can't understand how you can even justify criticizing how someone plays their squad. I can't even come up with words to defend any of this.
Shawn, I'm sorry you have to even put up with this nonsense. I have mad respect for your skills as a player and a T.O. and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I know it may appear like I was asking for special treatment, but each round had 10 days assigned. I am spending 14 days in France meeting my girlfriend's family. At the start of the tournament this worked out perfectly. It only became an issue because we started finishing games early, props to all of us, and the timeline started moving. I contacted Shawn when I noticed this happening so that I could attempt to avoid an auto loss since I can't play at my girlfriend's mom's house in France...
I am not sure what day this round even ends so the conflict may not even happen.

Trying to do your best lots of people might ask...
However the moderator made the decision to go against his rules. Rules that he set with an iron hand. Rules that he upheld in round 2 when 2 players had extenuating circumstances and would have to take an auto loss.
I find it weak that you would ask at all, but this is on caedus's shoulders as the moderator. "Pseudo moderator"

Yes. First the roles state that it is ten days.
Secondly he posted the date by which they had to be played. I quoted what it said on page 8.
The post on that thread has been changed with the new patients having been posted but originally it was up.
2 pieces of evidence. First being that he posted round and the roles say 10 days and secondly it had the date. Page 8 of this thread I quoted it in quotations

I did it for you
Something New this year. Each round, once pairings are announced, players will have 10 days in which to contact their opponent, schedule and play their game, and then report the results. When I announce the pairings I will also announce the deadline for completing those matches.

Nope that is a second clause.
If all games were in before the ten days the next round starts and the ten day deadline is from that point.
I don't know if you needed special treatment or not. I know that you to it upon yourself to ask for special treatment and I know it was going to be granted to you.
